reVision: “Seeing by Hand”™ Immersive Studio
The Immersive Studio is a hands-on sculptural activity shared by the blind, low vision, (BLV) community and the sighted. The sighted participants are blindfolded to simulate blindness. The challenge is touch a reference object and recreate it using air-dried clay. The goal of “reVision: Seeing by Hand™” is to –
- Raise awareness of the needs and challenges in the BLV community.
- Create a shared fun experience for the BLV community and the sighted.
- Share an artistic, tactile challenge for the sighted to experience how the BLV community relies on other abilities to navigate the world. The BLV community simply enjoy the experience.
